Description

In this issue of N|sight, we look at current trends in the wellness movement. We started to first explore this change in the retail experience, a change that perhaps has driven and shaped the wellness movement as we know it, in our Summer 1999 issue of N|sight, "What's the Deal With Retail?" As we continue our look into the future, this issue examines trends in wellness, which most certainly includes retailing, by reexamining traditional notions and ideas of retailing to the masses. We discuss the future role of designers in the retailing of wellness in the article, "Wellness By Design." Harvey Hartman discusses this current shift in his article "Rethinking Our Traditional Notion of the Mass Marketplace." Jarrett Paschel, one of our leading thinkers, joined by David Moore revisit our World Perspective, introduced just one year earlier, to see what can be added to our model to help our research methods evolve with the evolving consumer.
